| Skills / Attributes Required
⢠Minimum 4 years of database administration experience.
⢠MCITP certification on Database administration must.
⢠In depth SQL Server database Administration experience.
⢠Experience of managing multiple MS SQL 2000, 2005 & SQL 2008 RDBMS on large systems.
⢠Strong self-sufficiency and initiative working on SQL Database projects experience.
⢠Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to SQL provide a high availability service.
⢠Experience of Transactional SQL, and DTS stored procedures.
⢠Practical experience in managing the internal and external MS SQL database security.
⢠Oracle DBA experience & knowledge will be an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
⢠Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the SQL Server.
⢠Work to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases and to ensure high resilience and performance tuning.
⢠To proactively monitor the SQL database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime .
⢠Make sure database replication perfectly done at remote site and recovery in DR scenario.
⢠Responsible for providing trend analysis to management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management.
⢠Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of SQL Server, development.
⢠Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades, applying patches.
⢠Responsible for implementation and release of database changes according to agreed timescales. |
