Knowledge of UNIX (AIX), Linux, Windows, IIS etc. is must. The person should be familiar with network and security devices like IDS, IPS, Firewalls, Routers, Switchs, Proxy applications etc.
Job Scope and Responsibility
1 Policy Definitions
a. To formalize clear and concise policies for Information Technology area based
on information security best practices.
b. To get the Policies approved by Management.
c. To ensure all technology processes adhere to approved policy
d. To ensure all systems are configured consistently with approved policies
e. Periodic review of the policies to ensure they keep up with the latest technology changes.
2 Access Provisioning
a. Access control process owner for system level functions
b. Authorization and review staff and vendor access to all system.
c. Documentation and tracking of technology system flow, amendments and maker checker function.
d. Granting/modification/revocation of user ID.
e. Records management & retention.
3. Security Monitoring
a. Physical access tracking and review
b. Network Infrastructure & VPN access and logs monitoring
c. Operating System Log Monitoring and Reporting for AIX, Linux and Windows ( critical and access logs )
d. Office Automation Server log monitoring
e. Internet / Intranet threat monitoring
f. Firewall Administration, Logs Review and Reporting
g. Ensuring Vital Security patches are implemented promptly
h. Manage and review VPN access to Production and non-production systems. Logs review and reporting for all VPN systems.
i. Document all mitigating factors in event policy guidelines are not able to be followed.
4. Security Incident Response
a. Respond to and resolve security related incidents
b. Implement the damage limitation exercise in event of security incident
c. Determine root cause and come out with best practice procedures to avoid reoccurring future security incidents.
d. Documenting information and lessons learned and disseminating to the respective parties.
e. Perform periodic penetration tests on all servers.
f. Work with external vendors when they do ethical hacking, vulnerability assessment and penetration tests.
Qualification: BE, MBA (Systems), MCA or any other Information Technology degree with certification in Information Security
Experience Required: 5-6 years in Information Security domain |
